NEW TREATMENTS: Chronic Insomnia
I am now providing treatment for persons with chronic insomnia, defined as difficulty falling or staying asleep for three or more nights a week over a three or more month period.
Sleep is crucially important to our mental and physical health. The recommended treatment for chronic anxiety is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with success rates from 80-100%. Please click on the box below for more details on the six-week program I provide.
I am teaching six classes this SPRING 2018 at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAF.
First is another introductory drawing class, Drawing Using the Right Side of the Brain, Part 1, done in Session One.
During the second session is another Drawing Studio class, which is a continuation of the classes I taught on Drawing Using the Right Side of the Brain, Part 1, 2, and 3 and Drawing Studio Fall 2017. I am planning that this class will have some drawing exercises using live models.
The Psychology of Downsiziing
Back by popular demand, we'll look at why it is so hard to get rid of the stuff we've accumulated, and what to do about that so that we live with less and feel good about that.

I again did ice sculptures for the Healy Community Center and Denali National Park and Preserve. This was the 12th year I have been ice sculpting and teaching for the Denali Park Winterfest events, and the 100th anniversary of Denali National Park. I will post pictures of these sculptures soon.
I did not participate in the World Ice Art Championships this year.
I have been doing more research and reading on aspects of the unconscious, associative thinking, and memory.
